I'm Martin UlvenThe Good Narcissist

My journey to self-improvement began late in my 30s when I decided to see a psychologist. The decision wasn't arbitrary; I had been frequently labeled as a 'narcissist' by my ex-partner. And to be candid, there were moments when I displayed unmistakable narcissistic tendencies. Whether it was dominating conversations, dispensing advice prematurely, or voicing strong opinions on subjects I knew little about. The aftermath of these behaviours was an overwhelming sense of self-loathing.
My recent self-awareness journey has been one of both revelation and self-acceptance. An eye-opening experience for me was "The Self Authoring Program"
While it was effortless for me to spotlight my flaws and areas needing improvement, I was taken aback by how challenging it was to recognize and pen down my positive traits.
One goal stood out amongst the rest during this introspective exercise: I aspired to become a better listener. As I broke down this objective into actionable steps, the vision of actively reaching out and lending an ear to others began to crystallize. Thus, 'The Good Narcissist' project was born.
Through this platform, I hope not only to evolve as a better listener but also to offer a safe space where others feel genuinely heard. Thank you for joining me on this transformative journey.
